What We Support

Lighthouse Church desires to make a lasting difference in individuals, our community, and around the world.  We are passionate about demonstrating God’s love to others.  It is our desire to lead people to become fully devoted followers of Christ.  Everything we do bears this central purpose.

 

We believe that relationships, love, and good deeds are essential in reaching out to effectively communicate the message of Christ to our world.  We build on the strengths God has given each of us.  Lighthouse partners with community organizations, local churches, and focuses on global opportunities on 6 continents.

 

We believe that communities won’t be changed by programs, but by relationships developed among the people within that community.  Our strategy for ministering is to build and support relationships that inspire lasting change.  We connect with others locally through various opportunities within our community.  We can accomplish more together than apart.  Consider how you can direct your passion, experiences, and resources to bring real, lasting change to our community and around the world.

In Our Community...

Prison Services:  Our local prisons are full of people in desperate need of forgiveness and restoration to God and to others.  We believe that we are called to minister to prisoners through a monthly prison service inside our local prison.  Because of Christ, there is hope and new life for us all--no exceptions.  For more information, contact Pastor Kevin Brown @ [email protected]

Every-Day Compassion:  Many local food banks in our area are well-established and are already very efficient at serving our communities. Instead of spinning our own, we choose to partner with other food banks to reach those in immediate need of food and emergency supplies.  For more information, contact Grant Leonhard @ [email protected]

 

We Partner With...

Bethesda Mission:  We partner with the relief and restorative work of the Bethesda Mission.  The Bethesda Mission provides immediate assistance, Hope, and resources to hungry and homeless people in the Greater Harrisburg area.  For more information, contact Teresa Martz @ [email protected]

Morning Star Pregnancy Services:  We partner with the restorative work that Morning Star Pregnancy Services offer.  They bring Hope and healing to women and families at major crossroads in their lives.  We believe that every life is valuable and sacred.  We partner through year-round volunteering, giving, and participation in their annual Walk For Life.  For more information, contact Donna Brown @ [email protected]

Operation Christmas Child:  Since 1993, more than 100 million boys and girls in over 130 countries have experienced God’s love through the power of simple shoebox gifts from Operation Christmas Child. Renew Ministries:  After years of working with people through different recovery venues such as divorce recovery and various 12-step groups, Robin Gilbert Luftig founded Renew Ministries in 2009 with the purpose of sharing God's plan for healing to spiritually and emotionally broken women.  Renew Ministries is devoted to investing in the spiritual lives of those who want to heal from the pain that comes with brokenness.  For more information, please contact Robin at [email protected]

The Persecuted Church:  We join in praying for Christians worldwide throughout the year, as well as specifically on International Day of Prayer.  This is a time set apart for us to remember thousands of our Christian brothers and sisters around the world who suffer persecution, simply because they confess Jesus Christ as Lord.  Daily reminders and prayer points are available throughout the year.  For more information, contact Lachelle Brown @ [email protected]

Global Partners in Peace & Development:  We have had many opportunities to partner with this upstanding organization and we share their values and heart for the things of God--the dignity of human life, the orphaned, the widowed, the starving, the thirsty, the homeless, the refugees, the suffering, the unreached, the abandoned and the oppressed.  Global Patners is strategic about where they go and who they partner with. At Lighthouse, we support 22 different partners on 6 different continents. These missionaries are working in local churches around the world with the central focus of sharing and showing God's love.
